Showstopping Bathroom Transformation - @93_the_reno’s

Our showroom team at James Hargreaves Bathrooms use their years of experience to make customers' bathroom dreams a reality. This post will show you how @93_the_reno transformed their bathroom into a luxury haven.

The Initial Concept

Every bathroom design has to start somewhere, from the customer's initial ideas to inspiration from Pinterest or magazines. @93_the_reno has been undertaking a full house refurb and has found that Pinterest has become her best friend, especially when it came to renovating the bathroom. This and scrolling through several house renovation pages on Instagram gave them an idea of what they liked in terms of bathroom design.

While Pinterest and Instagram gave them ideas, there were a few non-negotiables in terms of bathroom pieces that they wanted. This was a free-standing bath with a TV within a wall in order to create somewhere to effortlessly relax. A separate showering area that is easy to maintain. In terms of design, they decided that brushed brass fittings and marble effect tiles were a must to give that overall luxury aesthetic.

The Drawing Board

Once ideas have been formed and items selected, our showroom designers use Virtual worlds to help bring a customer’s vision to life. This software allows our customers to see their ideas within the space and dimensions of their own bathroom, helping them to envision their ideas brought to life. Everything from the tile detailing to the colour of the vanity unit can be seen within these rendered images.

From the images, you can see how the space of @93_the_reno’s bathroom has been organised in such a way that the space has been maximised to suit the users. This has allowed for both a luxurious free-standing family bath and a trendy walk-in shower. The bird’s eye view image best shows you how the space has been utilised. Key details to note are the recess within the shower area for a minimalistic way of storing toiletries or the ledge used for concealing the baths pipework that can be used as a feature for displaying stylish accessories.

The Finished Bathroom

When you see the final look of this bathroom you are blown away by how spectacular it looks. The overall modern design of the bathroom mixes current bathroom trends of marble and brushed brass finishes to create a harmonious space that invites you to relax. While the focal point of the bathroom may be the double-end bath, your eyes are able to dart across the whole room and find intricate detailing that pulls the whole bathroom together.

The cohesiveness of this bathroom design ensures that every individual piece is tied together. This can be seen in the brushed brass in all the fixings and shower trim, but it is also seen around the shower alcove and soap dispensers. These are the little touches that take a bathroom from being beautiful to being spectacular.

While the whole bathroom has a fresh feeling with the marble tiles. A more mature element is added through the use of the dark blue vanity unit. Tied into the overall design through the darkness of the bathroom door and strap on the mirror, the unit adds a touch of opulence to the bathroom’s design. Perfectly complementing the white of the marble and the gold detailing, it truly lifts the overall look of this bathroom.

This bathroom is right on trend in terms of bathroom design. Currently trending within bathrooms is using the layout of the room so that the bath sits within the showering area. This allows for utilising the space within those slightly smaller bathrooms so that you can have both a bath and shower without combining the two. Also, the use of natural elements such as marble gives a luxurious but natural feeling to the area. The use of darker colour elements and brushed brass fixings are timeless while still being on trend for this year.
